Why Bank exams only in Hindi, English: Kanimozhi
I request the honourable minister to do the needful to conduct this exam in regional languages too: Kanimozhi.
Chennai: Amid all the Tamil anguish at the saffron obsession with Hindi, the DMK Lok Sabha member Kanimozhi has raised strong objection to the recruitment examinations being held only in English and Hindi even in Tamil Nadu, where almost 1,400 posts have been declared vacant in 17 government banks.
Listing out the various banks and their respective numbers of vacancies under various reserved quotas as well as the ‘general category’ candidates, Kanimozhi has appealed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman to quickly correct the ‘discriminatory’ decision to hold the bank recruitment tests in English and Hindi, thereby doing grave injustice to the candidates from Tamil Nadu.
“Conducting this bank exam (#IBPS CRP clerk exam for nationalised banks) only in Hindi and English goes against the spirit of federalism. I request the honourable minister to do the needful to conduct this exam in regional languages too,” posted the DMK MP on her twitter handle.
