Introduction: Legendary Indian spinner Anil Kumble expressed his reverence for the historic inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, describing the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony as a divine occasion. Kumble, accompanied by his wife, spoke to ANI, stating that they feel blessed to be part of this momentous event that holds great significance.

Blessed to Attend: In an interview, Kumble shared his sentiments, saying, “It is a wonderful occasion, a very divine occasion. Blessed to be a part of this. It’s very historic. Looking forward to seeking blessings from Ram Lalla. We’ll continue to come to Ayodhya but to be a part of this occasion in itself is a wonderful feeling, and we’re blessed.”

Kumble’s Illustrious Career: Anil Kumble, renowned for his illustrious cricket career, played 132 Test matches and claimed 619 wickets, including a record-breaking 10 wickets in a single innings against Pakistan. He remains India’s all-time leading wicket-taker in Test cricket. His ODI record is equally impressive, boasting 337 wickets in 271 matches, with a combined international wicket tally of 956, the highest by an Indian cricketer.

Cricketing Stars in Attendance: Notably, cricketing luminaries such as Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar have also been extended invitations to attend the Ram Mandir ceremony in Ayodhya, adding a touch of stardom to the auspicious occasion.

‘Momentous Occasion’: The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony marks the ceremonial enthronement of Ram Lalla’s idol at the grand temple and is set to be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Ram temple, designed in the traditional Nagara style by architects Chandrakant Sompura and his son Ashish, stands dominantly with impressive dimensions – 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and a towering height of 161 feet.

Grand Temple Complex: The temple complex sprawls across 70 acres, with the main area covering 2.7 acres and a built-up area of approximately 57,000 square feet. An investment of Rs 1,800 crore has been dedicated to this grand architectural marvel, funded by donations collected by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The trust received overwhelming support, amassing over Rs 3,500 crore from well-wishers across India and overseas.
