In a welcome change from the scorching heat of recent days, heavy rain poured down on Tiruppur and its surroundings on Friday. While offering respite from the intense heat, the downpour also impacted daily life, causing disruptions to vehicle movement and visibility on roads.

Motorists faced challenges navigating through the waterlogged streets, particularly along main thoroughfares like Perumanallur Road, Kangayam Road, Dharapuram Road, and Mangalam Road.

The overcast sky hinted at the impending showers, with the pleasant weather turning into a downpour later in the day.

Coimbatore city and its environs also experienced intermittent rain, leading to traffic congestion along Avinashi Road. The sudden onset of rain brought relief from the dry spell but also highlighted the need for caution and preparedness during such weather events.
